One hundred years ago, the members of the Dorothy Whitfield Historic Society purchased the Hyland House on Boston Street. They understood that this house was a vital link to Guilford’s first century. Today, members protect this gateway to our past:

Members preserve Guilford’s historic treasures. The House has stood near the center of Guilford for more than 300 years. Their support enables us to maintain it and to care for its collection of colonial furniture and decorative arts.

Members share Guilford’s history with our children. Early Guilford Days reaches hundreds of students every year. It’s a real memory maker for our town’s children. Member support guarantees that this unique program can continue.

Members keep history central to Guilford’s unique character. For 100 years, the Hyland House Museum has been a town treasure and a gathering place for history lovers.

We hope you will join us as a member. We rely on you.
