Lewis W. Scranton – In Memoriam

Lewis W. Scranton is an eleventh-generation descendant of Guilford founders and a renowned expert on New England antiques. During his sixty-year career, he developed a collection that reflects the rich history of colonial New England furniture and decorative arts. He has been a friend of the Hyland House for almost half a century, serving as President of the Board, as a Board Director, and participating as a dealer at the House’s antiques show fundraisers. Lewis Willard Scranton passed away on August 1, 2019 at his home in Killingworth, CT at the age of 83.
